  • Welcome to the outdoor leaders own online community. This site has been set up so that leaders who work in the field of outdoor pursuits have a way to easily communicate with each other and also post comments and ideas in relation to activities and events. Text and e-mails are fine but we all work on a common theme and being able to share ideas and discuss them so that all leaders have access to them can only be a good thing. This site incorporates many features of which I think most of you will find useful. Just a few examples are: the forum where you set up your own discussions or topics and post messages, if you need to chat with someone privately then you have the Pm (private message), galleries, calendars and much more. Many topics are covered and in time we hope to have leaders and instructors who cover a whole range of diverse outdoor pursuits on here. You don't have to be a leader to benefit from the site and as just an outdoor enthusiast your welcome to join in post your comments and learn form others.

85th Milton scout sponsored walk. We are planning to do a 5 mile sponsored walk around Rudyard lake. The aim is to raise money for the 85th Milton scout group so we can buy new equipment and improve our grounds etc. We would like you to join us and ask if you would take part in our walk by obtaining a sponsor sheet. We will be doing the walk on Sunday 26th September 2010. The day will start at 10am by meeting at Rudyard lake Visitor Centre and cafe and then starting the walk at 10:30am. there is parking available for a small fee by the visitor centre, or free at the railway site. WC and refreshments are available by the parking area. We hope this will be a fun family day for all who take part whilst also raising funds for a very worthy cause. During the walk you will need to bring your own refreshments and water bottles, the aim is to stop on the at the halfway point so we can all have a picnic together. (Please bring your own sandwiches etc) **Please note that the walk is not suitable for pushchairs or bikes during the second half and good walking shoes would be an advantage**
